The Harem Video.

The assignment that is up for discussion in this post is one that I did for Middle East politics was a final group project. It involved a video about women's rights in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia made with a couple of women and went well. This was for my Middle East politics class. I was planning to do a video comparing women's rights in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia but another group was also planning to do a similar topic. So my professor suggested that I join them and we collaborate. We did just that and decided on making a video. the video discussed various trends in women's rights in the two countries while comparing and contrasting them. Making this video was a bit a work, it required a lot of research and weeding out biased sources such as "Prager University" and religionofpeace.com. the video took 12 hours during one day to compile with my harem team which gave a lot of feedback and suggestions about how to make it better, in the end, my group got an A on the final project since the class said the video was that good. Although it is short, much of the video had a lot of content that needed to be scrapped. but that fact is relevant to me as a struggle because the skills and effort that goes into making a video about women's rights apply to writing essays, theses, resumes, and applications.

*fun fact, the more egalitarian a society is, the richer it gets.

Sigh; The things that I have to do in order to graduate on time or at all. It involves taking eighteen credit hours as well as working eighteen hours a week and balancing both, but it was not always this way. Social Invisiblity

One important thing that I have learned so far in my journey to my Political Science Bachelors of Arts degree was why social invisibility is bad for society. It is detrimental because it prevents services from being equally accessible to everyone in our society. This same issue came to mind when I was discussing it with one of my professors named Dr. Nojeim, after I took a required class called, Crime In America. I talked about it with him after I asked him about he thinks of it.and if it could be a good thing because I once thought that social invisibility can help people who need to avoid detection. He explained to me "unless you are trying to avoid a responsibility or hide from persecution, social invisibility is a hindrance to us all".
